Zesty Remoulade Sauce

Easy to customize with your favorite healthy mayo and fresh herbs, this recipe requires minimal knife skills and keeps in the fridge for a week.

Zesty Remoulade Sauce



  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup minced shallot
  • ¼ cup minced cornichons or dill pickle
  • 5 anchovy fillets in olive oil, minced to a paste (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grainy mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh herbs (such as tarragon, chives or parsley)
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Tobasco or sriracha sauce to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl
  2. Mix well
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Store in an air-tight container for up to one week in the fridge
