Tyrian Tuna Salad

This tasty tuna salad recipe features Lebanese flavors and replaces the standard mayonnaise dressing with sesame tahini for a richer, healthier lunchtime treat.

Tyrian Tuna Salad

  • 1 can Vital Choice pacific albacore tuna (6 ounces), drained
  • 1/4 tablespoon Vital Choice extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 orange, peeled, sectioned and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 3/4 tablespoon sesame butter (tahini)
  • 2 tablespoons organic raw walnuts or cashew, crushed or chopped into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon organic ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 tablespoon dried, chopped organic rosemary
  • 1/4 tablespoon organic turmeric
  • Sea salt and organic black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 bunch fresh parsley, chopped (about 1/2 cup, loosely packed)
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, small diced


  1. Combine the tuna, orange pieces, tahini, cashews, ginger, lemon juice, rosemary, turmeric, onion, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix well.
  2. Serve over a bed of spinach or lettuce leaves.
