How are your frozen products shipped?
All frozen products are carefully packaged with dry ice*.

Almost all of our frozen goods are now shipped in  SeaSaver™ boxes, made of 100% recyclable cardboard, which contain soft, flexible, post-consumer-recycled cotton fiber pads covered with a tough, moisture-resistant film, both of which are 100% biodegradable.
These insulating pads keep our dry ice and your frozen food very cold. For more information about SeaSaver™ shipping boxes, visit our Vital Green program page.

A minority of our frozen goods are shipped in a sturdy polystyrene-foam shipping container (similar to styrofoam). For more information on how to recycle our foam shipping containers, visit the CubeCycle™ section of our Vital Green page.

*Note: Dry ice gradually shrinks (sublimates) during shipment and may be completely gone by the time you open your package. Even if the dry ice has disappeared completely, goods that remained frozen retain their quality and are perfectly safe.
