Fatty fish are the best food sources
The richest known food sources of vitamin D3 are fatty fish — with wild Alaskan salmon ranking as the best sources.

The U.S. recommended daily allowances (RDAs) for vitamin D are 200 IU (birth to age 50), 400 IU (age 51-70) and 600 IU (age 71-plus).
