Classic Ahi Tuna Steaks

A gourmet-restaurant favorite, ahi tuna steaks are among the easiest and quickest seafood dishes to make at home - for a fraction of the cost!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Ahi Tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, olive oil, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the Ahi Tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 1 hour.
  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  • Serve the Ahi Tuna with a side of vegetables or rice and enjoy!
