A gourmet-restaurant favorite, ahi tuna steaks are among the easiest and quickest seafood dishes to make at home - for a fraction of the cost!
- 2 Ahi Tuna steaks
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
- ¼ teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, olive oil, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Place the Ahi Tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 1 hour.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
Serve the Ahi Tuna with a side of vegetables or rice and enjoy!
