Vital Choice was named Whatcom County, WA Small Business of the Year by the Whatcom Business Alliance and the editors of its Business Pulse magazine.

Like Vital Choice, the Alliance and its magazine are based in Bellingham, Washington, known for fishing, outdoor and eco tourism, skiing, and great dining … all imbued with some college-town vibe by the strong presence of Western Washington State University.

You can read the Business Pulse article about Vital Choice on e-page 52 of the current edition. And you can read the WBA's report on the 2013 WBA awards.

As John says, we support local groups like the Whatcom Salmon Learning Center, Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association, and the Bellingham Traverse, in which we've competed as a team, enjoying the event and earning some wins!

He quoted co-founder Randy Hartnell – a fourth-generation Whatcom County resident – attributing the success of Vital Choice to a retailer’s rendition of the Golden Rule:
“We offer products that we enjoy ourselves, and strive to treat our customers the way we want to be treated.”

We’re truly honored to receive such kudos from our Whatcom County community!
