This simple recipe exploits the subtle flavors of premium Alaskan halibut and our Organic Macadamia Nut Oil to deliver a quick, delicious main dish with more than a hint of home cooking. Try it with sautéed green beans and Russet potatoes mashed with their (rich in antioxidants) skins.
Halibut Pan-Fried in Macadamia Oil
4 (6 oz each) Vital Choice Alaskan halibut fillets
Vital Choice organic macadamia nut oil
Corn meal or flour
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- Wash each halibut fillet and wipe carefully. Dredge a board with corn meal or flour; shake on parsely and a little salt and mix on board. Lay each fillet in the mixture and pat to take up the flour or meal and salt, and gently shake off excess. Repeat with other side of filet.
- Pre-heat a frying pan and add macadamia nut oil. When pan is medium-hot, put in the fish and cook 4-5 minutes or until well-browned, then turn and repeat on the other side.
