We have tremendous respect for Lance Armstrong's twin triumphs: over cancer, and over his rivals on the grueling Tour de France race course. His seven serial sweeps of this brutally rigorous bike race (a team victory) would be amazing enough, but Lance had to win a mortal battle with cancer to remain a contender.
He's now won the prized yellow jersey more times than any Tour racer in history. It seems fitting that Lance chose the sunny hue of the winners' shirt to symbolize his unique effort to bolster the spirits and prognoses of embattled cancer patients.
