Its ravishing richness stems from the ample body fat that Sablefish accumulate to survive their frigid, deep-water environs.
We cold-smoke slices of this incredibly luscious fish to create a sinfully scrumptious delight, perfect for bagels, brunch buffets, hors d’oeuvres, or any way you’d serve our Salmon Lox.
Sablefish is very rich in omega-3s, with more than most wild Salmon. (Each 4 oz portion averages a whopping 1.6 grams.)

Storage Keep frozen until ready to serve. Thaw overnight in refrigerator, or for faster readiness, place unopened package in cold water for 20-30 minutes or until flexible.
Serving Tips Smoked Sablefish is as safe as cooked fish, thanks to the natural, salt-mediated curing process and flash-freezing. • Serve on a bialy, whole grain bagel, thin-sliced dark rye bread, or crisp rye cracker such as Wasa Bread. Spread the bagel, bread, or cracker with light cream cheese or avocado and top the Sablefish with thin tomato slices and/or capers and fresh basil leaves. • Chop into scrambled eggs with chopped, quick-sautéed chives, scallions, or bell peppers.
