Our Extra-Dark Chocolate boasts a whopping 80% cacao solids, for rich flavor and unequalled antioxidant power. (The antioxidant capacity of cocoa solids is the highest of any food tested to date).
Health benefits
The flavanol antioxidants abundant in extra-dark chocolate are proven to help prevent artery-damaging oxidation of LDL cholesterol, open arteries and enhance their functioning, and reduce blood stickiness (platelet activation).
Our chocolate contains no milk fat (just minuscule traces of milk protein). Instead, the 8 grams of saturated fat per half-bar consist of stearic acid from cocoa butter, which has no effect on blood cholesterol levels. Savored sparingly, our Extra-Dark Organic Chocolate is as healthful as it is soul-satisfying.
